Let’s face it if we are brutally honest us men are pretty useless without a woman (*or man or binary neutral partner…..) behind us chivvying us along.
Thankfully I have an embarrassment of riches in that department with Ali at home ruling me with a rolling pin of iron and in work Tracey (work wife) who organises, sorts and generally keeps the cogs of industry moving.
But more than this both these women are sources of great positivity, always there to counter the “but what if…” and “I’m really worried about…” conversations that inevitably dominate the mind.
Positivity all so very important when dealing with this cancer malarky
That’s enough of the sentimentality, must be getting soft in my old age. Carry on

Hi Simon and Ali, As a joint writter of a blog myself, i fully understand you writting yours, it will be a brilliant release. Although i would prefer not to have to see you writting one, i look forward to following you on your journey.
As you know from our chat, i am a christian and i am praying for you all and although i cannot stand beside you, God can. Although there will be moments when you think why me, where the heck is this so called God.
When we chatted, we had a good man hug, which was great, so when needed, remember that moment.
Not sure what else to say of other than we are all thinking of you and look forward to seeing you when you are able to pop into work.
The good news is with those bits they are removing, there is bound to be some weigh loss.
Simon
Thanks Mark , you saying I’m overweight?! Lol
